About the event
Oral diseases in children are a mixed bag of lesion types, causes, and appearances that often do not come with a reliable history. This interactive course focuses on new infectious diseases, updated causes about well-recognized oral lesions, newly described oral conditions, and the latest treatment approaches for symptomatic lesions. A wide range of soft tissues entities with some dental anomalies and jaws lesions interspersed are illustrated for this age group. Characteristic signs and symptoms are highlighted, along with a potential connection to new and old systemic diseases, behavioral health issues and drug side effects. Updates on the management of symptomatic lesions will be tailored to this age group. There is a lot going on in the mouths of our children and the pediatric dentist is often the first to see what is inside of this mixed bag.
